Life is all about being balanced and at peace. You can have all the things you want in your life, but if you can’t find inner peace within yourself and with others, there is no way you can live a fulfilling and happy life.
It is important to understand that we cannot live alone in this world. There will be some form of interactions with others. You need to communicate with your boss and colleagues when you are at work. You talk to your friends when you are at school. You will interact with your family members and learn to build relationships with people you love.
No matter what you do or where you go, there is no way you can survive in this world all by yourself. And this is why you need to learn how to find and live in peace with yourself and with others.

1. Seek to love, not to control other people
First, if you want to have inner peace with others, you must understand that you are there to help and to express your love toward others. You are not there to control others.
Trying to control other people and force people to accept your thinking is a sure way to destroy inner your inner peace. You have to understand that everyone is different, even with the people who are close to you.
If you want people to understand you, you must first understand them from their point of view. When you try to gain too much control in your relationship with other people, conflicts will arise and the relationship can falter.
2. Practice tolerance
Tolerance is all you need to create peace between you and others. It will make all the difference when things are going wrong. Tolerance for others is about appreciating the diversity, the many choices in the society, and being willing to live and let others live too.
When things become intense and people started to lose their tolerance, it can lead to depression, discrimination, and also violence. Why do you think people fight with each other? They lose their temper because they have lost their tolerance for each other.

This is a higher self-awareness state that a lot of people try to achieve. When you are living in the moment, you can see the big picture clearly and you are able to gain new perspectives on problems and obstacles you face in life.
5. Do not compare yourself to others
Do you know that the fastest way to lose your peace and joy is to mindlessly compare yourself with other people? While it is true that comparison can create competition and improvement, but most people are just mindlessly comparing everything in their lives with others.
When they see their friends driving a new car, they want one too. When they see their friends travel overseas, they want to do the same as well. It is alright to compare, but you must positively compare so that you can improve and live a better life, and not compare for the sake of comparing.
6. Accept other people just the way they are
This is a powerful way to find peace within you and others. Remember, you cannot change others and there is no way you can make other people be and act just like you.
Everyone is unique and everyone has their own way of thinking. You just need to accept them the way they are. When you try to change other people, you will end up losing your inner peace and go into an argument because people will find that you are trying to violate their “rules” and characters.
Instead of fighting over changing people, choose to accept them. Understand them from their standpoint and accept them as who they are.
7. Take full responsibility for whatever happens in your life
One of the key factors to achieving amazing success in life is to take full responsibility for whatever that is happening in your life. When you take the responsibility, you are in control. And when you are in control, you will be at peace because you understand it very well that thing occurs that way because of your choice.
And when you take the responsibility, you have the power to change. For example, when you fail in your business, you can choose to blame the economy, your client, your employees or anything. However, if you take responsibility and understand that it is your choice and decision that has led you where you are, you will be in control.
When you are responsible, you are in control, you can change, you can improve, you can do things differently, and more importantly, you will find peace, both within yourself and with others.
Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. No one can make you feel sad, angry or make you feel bad unless you accept them in the first place. Hence, take responsibility for your life and you will find peace.
